PURPOSE:To provide an insulating coating containing a polymer obtained by interaction of a specified polybutadiene having terminal hydroxyl groups and a polyisocyanate, and a solvent, which has good workability, is low cost and forms a cured film retaining high flexibility even after deterioration under heating. CONSTITUTION:The insulating coating is prepared by blending 20-80wt% solvent (e.g. toluene) and filler (e.g. silicon oxide in fine powder) into a polymer obtained by interaction of (A) 100pts.wt. polybutadiene containing terminal hydroxyl groups and having a weight-average M.W. of 300-10,000, (B) 30-300 pts.wt. hydrogenated polybutadiene with terminal hydroxyl groups which has a weight-average M.W. of 300-10,000 and a degree of hydrogenation of 90% or higher and (C) a polyisocyanate (e.g. tolylene diisocyanate) which is used in such an amt. that the isocyanate group may be in 0.7-1.0mol per 1mol hydroxyl group in (A) and (B).
