PURPOSE:To obtain an equipment, the conveying capacity of which is improved and in which no pellet stagnates and the yield of product by which is improved, by a structure wherein a cylindrical catchment, on the inner surface of which several lines of grooves to catch pellets are engraved, is equipped at the feeding part of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical catchment 13 is equipped at the feeding part 12 of the cylinder 11 of an extruder so as to form the inner wall of the feeding part. A spiral groove 14 for controlling temperature, in which a refrigerant, cooling or heating coil runs, is engraved onto the outer periphery of the catchment 13. On the inner peripheral surface of the catchment 13, several lines of grooves for catching pellets are arranged at equal angular intervals in the axial direction of the catchment. The number of the grooves ranges from 2 to about 10. The depth of the groove is uniform nearly throughout the whole length of the catchment 13. At the upstream side, a tapered leading-in part 16 is formed by gradually making smaller the bore diameter from the bottom diameter of the respective grooves at the upstream end toward the downstream side. At the downstream side, the respective grooves 15 are inclined so as to become shallower toward the downstream side in order to form a leading-out part 17. The width W1 of each groove 15 at the upstream side end is larger than that W at the downstream side end, because the width becomes gradually narrower in the direction from the upstream side to the downstream side. |
