PURPOSE:To eliminate an overshoot cutting and to execute blanking with a good cutting by setting correctly the oscillating condition of a laser beam in accordance with the cutting speed of a time when the cutting is started. CONSTITUTION:At the time of acceleration when the cutting of a material to be worked is started by the laser beam the oscillating condition of the laser beam corresponding to a cutting speed is set. For instance, by the cutting speed in the first stage, an on-time in the pulse oscillation of the laser beam is shortened, and an off-time is lengthened. As the cutting speed increases, said on-time is lengthened. In such a manner, a self-ignition phenomenon generated at the time of the acceleration is eliminated, and the cutting by the laser beam is executed satisfactorily. |
