PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure even a specimen incapable of being formed into a standard size, by connecting a rod shaped specimen, of which the heat conductivity must be measured, from both sides thereof through indium plates by using steel rods held by a fixing frames each equipped with clamping holes and fixing pins. CONSTITUTION:Steel rods 5, 5' are fixed by fixing frames 6, 6' made of Teflon and fixing pins 7, 7' and screw holes are provided to four corners of each of the fixing frames 6, 6' while these two fixing frames 6, 6' are fixed by passing screws 8, 8' made of stainless steel through said holes and tightening the same by using nuts 9, 9' and washers 10, 10'. In measurement, heaters and heat sinks are closely contacted with both ends of a thermocouple measuring jig and a whole of an apparatus is evacuated to reduced pressure at the point of time when said apparatus reached a thermal equilibrium state and all of heat is conducted through the steel rods 5, 5' and the specimen 3. By this method, the measurement of heat conductivity is enabled with respect to a specimen incapable of being formed into a standard size from reasons such as difficulty, expensiveness or a scare material. |
