PURPOSE:To hold a finely divided photoconductive composition stable during and after dispersion by keeping a dispersing liq. at 10-30 deg.C when the weight of the solid matter in a pigment exceeds the weight of the solid matter in a binder. CONSTITUTION:An azo pigment represented by formula I (where A is an org. group contg. an aromatic or heterocyclic ring and forming a conjugated double bond system between carbon atoms bonding to an azo group or a group represented by formula II, and B is a coupler residue represented by formula III, IV or V) is used. Polyvinyl butyral resin, polyvinyl formal resin, polyamide resin, polyester resin, acrylic resin or the like is used as a binder resin. When the weight of the solid matter in the pigment to be dispersed exceeds the weight of the solid matter in the binder, a stable coating liq. can be manufactured by keeping a dispersing liq. at 10-30 deg.C. The average particle size of the pig ment in the coating liq. and the viscosity of the dispersing liq. are not changed after dispersion. |
