PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the formation of silicious scale conventionally difficult to prevent, by together using an acrylamide polymer and an acrylic acid polymer. CONSTITUTION:In preventing the adhesion of silicious scale to the wall contacted with water of a cooling water system or boiler aqueous system, and acrylamide polymer and an acrylic acid polymer (e.g., a homopolymer of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid) are compounded in a wt. ratio of 19:1-1:19 to be introduced into the system.
