METHOD FOR CHARGING ELECTRIC PRECIPITATOR

PURPOSE:To perform operation with optimum dust collection efficiency, by simple operation such that the generation of an inverse ionization phenomenon is detected on the basis of the relational curve of the secondary voltage and secondary current of a dust collector and changing secondary voltage or secondary current under a predetermined condition. CONSTITUTION:The relational curve A0 of secondary voltage and a secondary current in a normal charging operation state and the relational curve B0 of the secondary voltage and the secondary current in an inverse ionization operational state are displayed on orthogonal coordinates. A straight line showing at least three kinds of secondary current values mutually different on this coordinates and the intersecting point with each relational current are calculated and each straight line obtained by connecting intersecting points corresponding to respective secondary current values is divided by a preset definite ratio to calculate respective dividing points and the curve passing said dividing point or in the vicinity thereof is set as a judge curve C. Then, an inverse ionization generating state is detected on the basis of the magnitude relation of the secondary current value to a secondary voltage value to be inspected at the time of operation and the corresponding judged secondary current value on the judge curve C.
