PURPOSE:To decrease reduction in an amount of heat generated and to promote a decrease in the temperature of oil through increase of an amount of oil circulated, by locating a relief valve for high temperature compensation which discharges working oil from the discharge side of a suction outlet to an oil tank. CONSTITUTION:A driving force, transmitted to a coupling device body 13 for 4 wheel drive, is transmitted to a first rotary shaft 11 through a gear cam ring 20e, and is further transmitted to a front wheel 9 through a differentiating device 10. When relative rotation is generated between a first rotary shaft 11 and a second rotary shaft 14, a vane pump VP generates an oil pressure. A relief mechanisms M for high temperature compensation, formed with a temperature sensor S and a relief valve V, are located on a communicating passage 39, through which a check valve 28 and a second oil passage OL2 are intercommunicated, and a communicating passage 40 through which a check valve 29 and a first oil passage OL1 are intercommunicated. When working oil is at high temperature, a discharge pressure is relieved to reduce torque transmitted, resulting in prevention of an increase in an oil temperature.
