PURPOSE:To obtain a light transmission range regulating screen having sufficient thickness for regulating the direction of transmitted light with a simple process by arraying a transparent plastic fiber and an opaque plastic fiber continuously and alternately and adhering these fibers to form a stripe-like pattern sheet material and pressing the sheet material from both the sides while heating the material. CONSTITUTION:A plastic fiber 4 is adjusted by a guide 5 and successively and continuously wound around a winding drum 6, a bonding agent is applied to the wound fiber 4 to adhere the fiber 4 each other and then the fiber winding body is opened like a plate. To obtain a stripe-like pattern sheet material 11, a transparent plastic fiber 12 and an opaque plastic fiber 13 are wound around the drum in parallel as two strings. Then the material 11 is pressed with a heat press or the like to thermally deform the sectional shapes of respective fibers 12, 13 from circles to almost squares. Thus, a striple-like pattern sheet 30 on which the transparent layers and opaque layers are alternally arrayed is obtained.
