PURPOSE:To obtain safe feed and good quality fertilizer, by applying heat treatment to water treatment sludge, in which blood was charged, and subsequently applying press dehydration to the treated sludge before drying. CONSTITUTION:Water treatment sludge issued at the time of food processing receives preparatory dehydration treatment such as centrifugal separation to reduce the moisture thereof from 96-98% to 90-95%. Subsequently, the treated sludge is mixed with blood of animals or fishes and shellfishes while the resulting mixture is charged in a heat treatment tank and stirred. Next, the mixture is heated to 80-110 deg.C to form the film of blood, which was brought to a coagulated state, to the surface of granular water treatment sludge. Then, the treated substance is subjected to press dehydration treatment. The charging amount of blood is set to 0.1-2 per 1 of water treatment sludge on the basis of a wt. ratio. |
