PURPOSE:To reduce the expense required in separating operation, by attaining the reduction of energy necessary for evaporating a substance to be separated and the facilitation of the recovery and regeneration of the unevaporated substance to be separated. CONSTITUTION:Electron beam E is allowed to successively irradiate plural places on the upper surface of a block P being a substance to be separated molded into a cubic form to melt and evaporate the substance to be separated in such a mode that a plurality of bottomed holes are formed to the block P to be separated. Therefore, a large amount of the substance to be separated can be evaporated by reduced energy. The block P to be separated after the completion of one separation work holds an initial cubic shape and placed on a table 4 in such a state that a plurality of bottomed holes are merely formed. Therefore, the unevaporated substance to be separated can be simply recovered by using t he same jig as one having being used when the block P to be separated was set on the table 4 and, because the recovered unevaporated substance to be separated also holds the initial block shape, regeneration treatment becomes simple.
