1,192,902. Vibrating conveyer for objects or people. P. PATIN. 7 Jan., 1969 [4 April, 1968], No. 880/69. Heading B8A. A conveyer for objects or people is formed by plate elements la to 1# (Fig. 1, plan view), each element being given a reciprocating orbital movement by its respective motor 7a to 7f and the orbital movement increasing in amplitude or frequency from left to right so that the objects or people are accelerated as they are conveyed. Plate element 1a, Fig. 2.-The element is carried by horizontal shafts 2a and 2b which are rotatably driven via gearing 6a from motor 7a. The movement is transmitted as a vibration to element 1a via eccentrics 3a and 3b carried by the shafts and working in cylindrical apertures 4 in the element. Alternative plate element 11, Fig. 8.-The element is supported by three horizontal shafts 12a, 12b and 16 and the shafts are mounted by means of eccentrics in blocks 14a, 14b and 18, which are movable within the element 11 in the guides shown so that blocks 14a and 14b cause vertical movement and block 18 causes horizontal movement, the effect being such that the horizontal orbit of the element is approximately twice as long as the vertical orbit. |
