NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R is H, halogen, or methyl). EXAMPLE:N-(1,1-Dimethylindan-4-yl)-1,3,5-trimethylpyrazol-4-carboxamide. USE:A plant fungicide. PREPARATION:Acetylacetone shown by the formula II is reacted with a 1,1- dimethylindan-4-ylisocyanate shown by the formula OCN-Ar (Ar is group shown by the formula III) to give a compound shown by the formula IV, which is treated with methylhydrazine to give a compound shown by the formula I where R is methyl group.
