PURPOSE:To prevent a bottom plate from defective rise and drop by detecting the opening and closing of a tray cover to raise and lower the bottom plate when said cover is closed and opened respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a tray cover 10a of a paper supply tray 10 is closed and the tray 10 is attached, a second bent edge 38b of a interlocking plate 38 extending from the side of a guide 24 is urged leftward by a guide piece 10b at the side of the tray 10 so that said plate 38 is turned leftward about a pivot 40. And a first bent edge 38a is moved away from an end 36a of a slide shaft 36 which is moved upward by a spring 41 to rotate gears 28-32. Then an engaging pin 42 turns leftward a lever 43 together with a shaft 22 to lift a bottom plate 11 through an arm 12. The presence of a blank S on the bottom plate 11 is detected and indicated by a detecting means 44. When a tray cover 10a is opened for blank replenishment, an opening and closing detecting means 25 is turned off and a motor 26 is reversed to lower the bottom plate 11 through the rotation of the gears 28-32. |
