PURPOSE:To improve the sealing ability and mechanical stability of an insulator for an auxiliary combustion chamber to satisfy the efficiency of combustion, by providing a hollow member having a large diameter annulus-like section along the outer periphery thereof and a holding hardware for relaxing and absorbing stress exerted to the hollow member. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic hollow member 2 has a large diameter annulus-like section 2C along the outer periphery thereof. A plate packing 3, a line packing, an inorganic heat-shielding particles and a retaining hardware 6 are all used as sealing members. A holding hardware 7 having a cylindrical shape completely surrounding the annulus-like section 2C of the hollow member 2, relaxes and absorbs stress exerted to the hollow member 2 upon fitting of the latter. With this arrangement, it is possible to improve the sealing ability and mechanical stability of the insulator in order to satisfy the efficiency of combustion. |
