PURPOSE:To improve impact resistance, by blending a modified resin obtd. by a graft polymn. with a vinylidene fluoride resin. CONSTITUTION:45-10pts.wt. first monomer component (A) consisting of 10-40wt% acrylonitrile and 90-60wt% methyl methacrylate and/or styrene is added to a latex contg. 50-80pts.wt. copolymer (B) obtd. by emulsion- polymerizing 40-95wt% C2-C12 alkyl acrylate, 1-40wt% butadiene and 0-30wt% methyl methacrylate. The mixture is polymerized. 5-25pts.wt. second graft monomer (C) consisting of a C1-C4 alkyl methacrylate is then added thereto in such a quantity that the combined quantity of components A, B and C is 100pts.wt. The mixture is polymerized to obtain a graft copolymer. 3-70pts.wt. said graft copolymer is blended with 100pts.wt. vinylidene fluoride resin. |
