PURPOSE:To perform correct air-fuel ratio control by compensating shift in air-fuel ratio by providing a correcting means receiving an output of an air-fuel ratio sensor deterioration detecting means and correcting either of an objective value from an objective value setting means or an output of an air-fuel ratio sensor. CONSTITUTION:A comparison means comparing an output of an air-fuel ratio sensor 9 with an objective value set by an objective value setting means 16, and an air-fuel ratio control means 18 controlling air-fuel ratio of mixture are provided. In addition to them, a deterioration detecting means 19 detecting deterioration of the air-fuel ratio sensor 9 and a correcting means 20 receiving an output of the deterioration detecting means 19 and correcting either of an objective value from the objective value setting means 16 or an output of the air-fuel ratio sensor are provided. Thus, shift of air-fuel ratio to deterioration of the air-fuel ratio sensor is compensated and air-fuel ratio control can correctly be made.
