PURPOSE:To drive-in a drain material in a proper position, by a method wherein front and rear stoppers are alternately left or pulled up to move forward a ship's hull by a distance equal to one full driving interval. CONSTITUTION:A front stopper 2 and a rear stopper 3 are secured to a frontmost part and a rearmost part in a hole 1, and a ship hull S is secured to drive a drain material. The stopper 3 is pulled out in a condition that the stopper 2 is left as it is, and through motion of a cylinder 6 for movement of the spud 2, the position of the stopper 2 is located to the side to opposite to its original position in the hole 1. In this case, the ship's hull S is moved forward by a driving distance L. After a drain material is driven, the spud 2 is pulled out in a condition in that the stopper 3 remains driven-in, with the cylinder 6 of the stopper 3 operated, the ship hull S is moved, and the spud 2 is driven in the frontmost part of the hole 1 for securing. By performing the repetition of a similar process as described above, the ship's hull is moved forward by the driving distance L. |
