PURPOSE:To equalize the life of compressors, by providing a controlling apparatus for air conditioners, where a plurality of refrigerating cycles are operated, with operation order arranging means for arranging the order of the operation of refrigerating cycles into the same order when the load of air conditioning is increased and when the load of air conditioning is decreased. CONSTITUTION:When room temperature lowers, terminals b-c of a contact 11 are opened to close terminals a-c, and thereby an electromagnetic contactor M1 is deenergized to stop a compressor M1. When room temperature lowers further, terminals b-c of contact 12 are closed to open terminals a-c, and thereby an electromagnetic contactor M2 is deenergized to stop a compressor M2. Then when room temperature rises and the contact 12 changes to the (b) side, that is, the terminals a-c are opened to close terminals b-c, the electromagnetic contactor M1 is energized to drive a compressor CM1. Therefore, the compressor CM1 that stopped previously when room temperature lowered is started first when room temperature rises, and as a result the accumulated operation hours of the compressors CM1, CM2 can be equalized.
