PURPOSE:To reduce the noise at high speed traveling time by providing energizing means for generating prepressure between outer wheels when a pair of ball bearings provided in a mover are secured. CONSTITUTION:A linear motor has a stator, a mover moving on the stator and guide means, and travels in the prescribed interval and attitude between the stator and the mover, The guide means has a pair of ball bearings 25, 26 axially of an axle 24 provided on the mover, and is provided through a spacer 27 and a leaf spring 28. The axles 29, 30 of the bearings 25, 26 are clamped by a screw 31 and a nut 32, and prepressure is applied by the spring 28 between the outer wheels 33 and 34. Thus, when the free length of the spring 28 is provided to become n+2m or larger, prepressure is indispensably generated between the wheels 33 and 34 at clamping time, and a force is generated in the direction for cancelling the external force P. Thus, even if the force P is large and varied, a fluctuation or gap is hardly produced. |
