A compound of the general formula I <IMAGE> where R1 denotes carboxyl, amidated carboxyl, cyano, thiocarbamoyl or tetrazolyl; R7 denotes hydrogen or aryl; R2 denotes hydrogen, hydroxyl, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; R3 denotes hydrogen, hydroxyl, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, carboxyl, protected carboxyl, lower alkenyloxy, aryl which can carry one or more suitable substituents, arylthio, aroyl, Ar-lower alkyl, arenesulphonyl, arylamino, which can carry a suitable substituent, or aryloxy; and R2 and R3 can be located at any position in the quinolizinone ring and can be bonded together to form -CH2CH2CH2-, -CH=CH- or -CH=CH-CH=CH-; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds can be used for treating allergic diseases and ulcer diseases.
