PURPOSE:To completely hide a confidential test and realize quick and secure facsimile transmission of important documents by adding a secret keeping part to the receiving part of a facsimile unit. CONSTITUTION:On a confidential message received, a confidential symbol 2 predetermined with a transmitter and addressee indication 3 are recorded, and a reading mechanism 23 of secret keeping part 21 senses the confidential symbol 2 and operates a cover sheet supply mechanism 24 to draw a cover sheet 4 from a cover sheet roll 22, and starting end and terminating end sticking mechanism 25 and side end sticking mechanism 26 stick a starting end sticking place 5 and side end sticking place 6 respectively so that only the confidential text following the confidential symbol 2 and addressee indication 3 on the recording paper 1 is covered, and when the reading mechanism 23 senses the end blank, the starting end and terminating end sticking mechanism 25 sticks a terminating end sticking place 7 and a cover sheet cutting and discharging mechanism 27 cuts the cover sheet 4 at the cutting end and discharges it into a recording paper discharging tray 28.
