PURPOSE:To make seat rails unexpensive and light-weighted so as to obtain the required stiffness by using a lower rail combined with an upper rail where the lower rail made of a channel type material is fixed on the floor panel with its opening faced to the transversal direction and the upper rail having a vertical section which faces the above said opening, is fixed on the seat. CONSTITUTION:A lower rail 1 is fixed on the car floor panel with a bracket 2 while an upper rail 4 is fixed on the seat. And a hold member 8 is fixed on the upper rail 4 with rivets in such a manner that the hold member is inserted into the channel type lower rail 1. Simultaneously, the rail 1 is slidingly combined with the rail 4 together with sliders 9 and 10 which are formed around the hold member 8 as an integral unit. And a lock member 7 fixed on a lock lever shaft 5 is projected through a hole 6 of the upper rail 4 allowing a lock tooth 13 which is formed at its free end, to go through in order a guide hole 14 of the upper rail 4, a lock hole 3a of a lower clip 3, and a notch 15 of an envelope section 11. |
