PURPOSE:To fix effectively a material to be fixed which is introduced to a fixing device, by connecting a microwave source to a closed loop-shaped microwave wave guide including the fixing device on the way through another waveguide to generate a microwave progressive wave going in one direction in the closed loop waveguide. CONSTITUTION:The microwave generated from a magnetron 1 is led to a waveguide 3 by a magic tee 5 after passing a waveguide 2. The microwave going in the waveguide 3 has partical energy lost by a fixing device 7 and is led to the magic tee 5 again after passing the waveguide 4. If microwaves of waveguides 2 and 4 satisfy matching conditions at this time, all of the energy made incident from the waveguide 4 is led to the waveguide 3 again. Consequently, a magnetron output P is equal to the energy W consumed for fixing if the partial loss and reflection are ignored, and 100% microwave energy is used fro fixing. |
