ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC DEVELOPING COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To ensure a strong straight polarity and an excellent durability of the titled composition by incorporating a polymer obtd. from a specific diol component, a carboxylic acid component and an azonitrile polymerization initiator as a main component of a binding agent to the titled composition. CONSTITUTION:In the titled composition consisting of the binding resin and a coloring agent, the diol component shown by the formula, the dicarboxylic acid or its anhydride or its lower alkylester and the polycarboxylic acid having >=3 carboxyl groups or its anhydride or its lower alkylester are polycondensed to form a polyester resin. While a copolymerizable monomer contg. an amino group and a hydrophobic comonomer are copolymerized in the presence of the azonitrile polymerization initiator. >=50wt% the prescribed polyester resin having a dry bulb softing point of 100-180 deg.C and 1-50wt% the prescribed polymer contg. amine group having a dry bulb softing point of 100-180 deg.C are incorporated to the titled composition.
