Improved socket for a flash tube and signalling lamp (projector) having this socket. The socket 1 has a central zone 3 with two housings 8 for receiving the ends of a U-shaped flash tube 9 and with three holes 5 for passage of the leads into the interior volume of the body 2 containing a high-voltage source and surrounded by a collar 4 whose surface facing the side of the body 1 carries pins 16A-16D parallel to the latter which are connected to the supply leads of the tube 9 and of the high-voltage source. <IMAGE>
