The invention relates to a suspension for motor vehicles, in particular all-terrain vehicles, which comprises, on each side of the vehicle, a rigid arm 4 to which the stub-axle holder 5 of one of the wheels 3 of the vehicle is fitted and which can rotate about a horizontal axis oriented transversely with respect to the body of the vehicle. A torsion bar 6, arranged along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, is anchored, at one of its ends 6a, to the body of the vehicle and rigidly carries, at its other end 6b, a lever oriented more or less transversely with respect to the vehicle and more or less horizontally. The free end 7a of the lever 7 is connected to the stub-axle holder 5 by a connecting rod 8 capable of transmitting the reactions of the suspension to this free end and of following the movements of the wheel 3. <IMAGE>
