<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for disconnecting a clutch when an engine speed is reduced below a certain value and improve operating property by reading the connecting data of a clutch from a ROM in accordance with engine speed, and controlling a clutch driving means based on said data. CONSTITUTION:In a forklift under forwardly traveling, a CPU 17 indexes the engine speed at the time based on the output from an engine speed sensor 7. When the engine speed is reduced less than a first reference engine speed N1, the CPU 17 reads out connecting data having a shorter stroke quantity S is proportion to the reduced engine speed, i.e., the frequency of connecting a dry-type plate clutch 2 is reduced, from a ROM 18. Then, it compares the read stroke quantity S with an actual stroke quantity from a stroke detecting sensor 9, controls a clutch controlling actuator 6 in accordance with the com pared result and, when the rod 6a of the actuator 6 achieved a defined stroke quantity S, is stops the actuator 6 from driving.</p> |
