Method for the detection or titration of immunoglobulins, directed towards a particular antigen, in a liquid medium liable to contain them, wherein the aforementioned liquid medium is brought into contact, according to standard sero-immunological techniques, with a solid support to which the aforementioned antigen is bound, and wherein the system obtained is then brought into contact with a solution containing an antibody directed towards an isotypic antigenic determinant of the aforementioned immunoglobulins to be detected or titrated. The aforementioned antibody is a monoclonal antibody, and the system obtained is then brought into contact with a solution containing a second antibody labelled with a tracer agent, this second antibody being directed towards an isotypic antigenic determinant of the first antibody, and thereafter the presence, where appropriate, of the aforementioned tracer agent is determined qualitatively and/or quantitatively on the system obtained; and device for carrying out this method.
