This pump is of the type in which a turbine 2 is driven by a synchronous motor comprising a cylindrical permanent magnet, and a delivery tube 3 is arranged tangentially to this turbine. The body 1 of the pump has, on its internal wall, at least one housing 5 in which a pawl 6 is freely articulated, this pawl being kept away from any contact with the turbine under the effect of the centrifugal force of the sucked liquid, when the turbine 2 turns in the desired direction, this pawl 6 jutting out by contrast into the path of the turbine under the effect of the thrust of the sucked liquid, when the turbine starts in the undesired direction, and then constituting a means of stopping the turbine 2, this stoppage being so sudden that the turbine is kicked back, which provokes its rotation in the opposite direction, that is to say in the desired direction. <IMAGE>
