PURPOSE:To form an image forming device superior in operability by displaying directly and quantitatively an image forming range or non-forming range through an original platen. CONSTITUTION:The first carriage 411 and needles 51 and 52 are driven in accordance with a set magnification to display the image forming range, and the first carriage 411 is driven to display the image non-forming range used as, for example, a binding margin in the left or the right of a copied picture. The forming position and breadthwise dimensions of this image non-forming range (binding margin) are set by the operation of an operation key 30a or 30b on an operation panel 30, and set breadthwise dimensions are displayed not only on a display part 30c but also on an original platen 2 by a moving scale 53 provided on the first carriage 411 and a fixed scale 21 provided on the original platen 2. |
