PURPOSE:To erase an optional part of an original image to form an image with simple constitution by moving spot light to designate the erasure range of the original image and irradiating light on a photosensitive drum from plural light emitting element in accordance with the designated erasure range to erase an electrostatic latent image or electrostatic charge. CONSTITUTION:When points S3 and S4 on an original G are designated and erasure range designating keys 30f and 30g are depressed, an operation is performed in a main processor group 71, and a high-level signal and a low-level signal are stored in the erasure range part and the other part respectively in a memory 140. Each switch element 163 of a switch circuit 164 is controlled by each output signal of a store register 162 so that the element 163 is turned on when the output signal is in the high level and the element is turned off when the output signal is in the low level, and each light emitting element 152 is lit when the corresponding switch element 163 is turned on, and the element 152 is extinguished when the corresponding switch element 163 is turned off, and the part, where light emitting elements 152 are lit, the electrified part of a photosensitive drum 10 is destaticized to erase the original image there. Similarly, data in the memory 140 are read out row by row to erase the image. |
