<p>PURPOSE:To improve sealing property by forming a hollow pressure-reducing part which enables inner and outer lips to be displaced and forcedly brought in elastic contact with a body panel by reducing its inside pressure, in a rubber- made sealing strip which is fixed to the peripheral edge of a car door. CONSTITUTION:This sealing strip which is fixed to the peripheral edge 2a of a car door 2 and which is brought in elastic contact with a body panel 3 when the door 2 is closed, has an inside lip 6 which projects out in the lateral direction of the body panel 3 side, on the car-room side of a base part 5 which is fixed to the peripheral edge 2a. It also has an outside wall part 7 having an outside lip 7a on its outwardly inclined top side, on the outer side of car. Furthermore, it has an intermediate elastic contact part 10 which is connected to the inside and outside lips 6, 7a via a side wall part 8 and an inclined wall part 9 respec- tively, thereby, constituting a hollow pressure-reducing part 11. This hollow-pressure reducing part 11 can be deformed with the pressure inside its hollow part 11a being reduced via a connecting hose, in relation to the closing of the door 2, to make the lips 6, 7a forcedly brought in elastic contact with a panel 3.</p> |
