<p>PURPOSE:To simplify construction by connecting a main flow control unit and a pilot operated unit by a single pilot passage so as to obtain flow control substantially proportional to the input current value. CONSTITUTION:In an electromagnetic flow control valve composed of a main flow control unit 1 and a pilot operated unit 2, a pilot spool 17 has a restriction passage 26 for completing communication between a spring chamber 24 and a chamber 25, and a variable orifice defined by a recessed portion on the outer periphery of the pilot spool 17 and a recessed portion of a sleeve completes communication between the portion behind a plunger 5 and the spring chamber 25 of a poppet unit 20. Thus constructed, the main flow control unit and the pilot operated unit can be connected by a single pilot passage, permitting flow control substantially proportional to the input current value, whereby the solenoid is low in cost and compact, and the whole construction can be simplified.</p> |
