PURPOSE:To prevent the damages and demagnetization of the medium caused by a shock by providing a pre-load mechanism to the side of carriage mounted on the rolling bearing that runs along the slide spindle. CONSTITUTION:To the carriage 3 mounted on the rolling bearing 2 that runs along the slide spindle 1, a pre-loading rolling bearing 5 is mounted through a plate spring 4. As this bearing 5 pushes a pre-loading shaft 6, a pre-load is produced. The pre-load force to the upward direction of the slide spindle works on the center of the carriage 3 so that the carriage 3 remains stable when receiving a shock from external devices even if the pre-load is weak. Accordingly, because the pre-load mechanism is mounted on the side of carriage, the carriage does not depart from the slide spindle at an occurrence of a shock in spite of the small pre-load force, and hence damages and demagnetization because of the shock are prevented. |
