PURPOSE:To easily exchange ink tapes by detachably providing a cassette body having a supply roll and a winding roll for ink tapes on its upper and lower parts. CONSTITUTION:In a cassette body 1, an ink tape 4 sent out of a supply roll 3 is directed from an upper opening 1A to the front of a front plate 2 and then downwards, and the tape 4 is wound around a winding roll 5 from a lower opening 1B. when setting the cassette body 1, a line-type thermal head is positioned in the recessed space 2A of the front plate 2. In exchanging the ink tape, a thermal head 17 is set on non-recording position, and one positioned on the arrow B side, among paired frames supporting a support shaft 15 and a drive shaft 20, is removed out. The whole of the cassette body 1 is pulled out toward the arrow B side to take only the cassette 1 out of the recorder. |
