PURPOSE:To measure accurately the water content of grains for specific weight by providing a measuring hopper, etc., under a throw-in chute which has a gate connected to a gate opening and closing device. CONSTITUTION:A discharge magnet 24 is turned on to close a discharge gate 19 of the measuring hopper 18, and a throw-in magnet 4 and an air cylinder 5 operate to open gates 3 and 3' at the lower end of the throw-in chute 2, so that grains in the chute 2 flow down from a discharge port to between electrode plates 18 and 18 of the hopper and stored. Further, when the grains in the chute 2 attain to specific weight, a sampler 21 operates with the output signal of a quantitative limit switch 14, the electric capacity of the grains is measured by an electric capacity meter 20, whose capacity value is sampled by the sampler 21 and held in a holding circuit 22; and its output is converted by an indicator 23 into water content, which is displayed. Then, the gate 19 is opened to discharge grains in the hopper 8 to the chute 12 to specific weight and they are introduced in a temporary storage tank, etc., while classified by water content. Then, a series operations for the measurement of the water content are repeated. |
