PURPOSE:To measure an object on a mounting base speedily with high accuracy by moving a detection element in three dimensions by a robot mechanism with a movable arm and operating a robot with operation commands. CONSTITUTION:The three-dimensional measuring machine 2 is provided on the mounting base 1 and the robot mechanism 4 is put in operation under the command of an operation commanding device 3. Further, the probe shaft 18 having a touch signal probe 17 is moved up and down (Z axis) and is moved to right and left (X axis) by a slider 16 and movable probes 25, 28, and 29 which are also rotatably on a rotating shaft 26, and a column 14 is moved forth and back (Y axis) to measure the object 11 of measurement. At this time, measurement data is derived from the output signal of the displacement detector of the detection element 17 to calculate the size of the body to be measured. Therefore, the robot mechanism is operated in three dimensions with a measurement produced program and measurement is taken automatically by the robot mechanism, so the measuring operation is speeded up and made accurate. |
