PURPOSE:To hold a backup function in a semipermanent manner, by joining a backup elastic hollow ring of rubber-make or he like, which charges air, gas, etc., into a hollow part, to either of a floating seat or a seal ring together. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 44 is inset in a side plate 42 of a housing 41 and a compression space 43 which is closed by a casing except suction and discharges ports. An annular floating seat 46 is fitly attached to a base part projected out of a rotor of a shaft 45 supported by a bearing 48 of the housing 41. A backup elastic hollow ring 4 is joined to either of a seal ring of a mechanical seal or the floating seat. Air and other gases are charged into a hollow part of this hollow ring 4, making up it into a ballon form and letting it hold sufficient elasticity, thus a backup function is held semipermanently. |
