PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of air bubbles due to heat for connector attachment to form a connector of high reliability by heating preliminarily an optical fiber conductor to evaporate water in the coating part and attaching the connector thereafter. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber conductor 1 whose coating in the front end part is peeled is inserted to an attaching hole 40 formed through a connector 4, and the connector is inserted and set to a heating chamber 6 so that a collar part 41 of the connector 4 is placed on a supporting base 60 of the heating chamber 6. After the connector 4 is set in this manner, the heating member 6 is heated by a heater 7 to evaporate water in a coating part 20 of the optical fiber conductor 1. Thereafter, an adhesive 5 is packed and is heated to adhere the optical fiber conductor 1 and the connector 4 to each other.
