The pin 4 of the hinge traverses the knuckles 5, 6, 7 of two plates 2, 3, and is held there by a stop device against any displacement in the axial direction, which is constituted by at least one peripheral groove 11 hollowed in the pin and by a stop element having elasticity in the radial direction. Two sleeves 14, each provided with a support collar or flange 15, are placed in the knuckle 5 of the plate 2; they are each provided with a bulge 16 at the internal periphery of their ends facing each other, the bulges each forming a stop element 12 placed in the peripheral groove. The hinge is suitable for use in the case in which it must be mounted immediately in the upper corner area of the leaf and frame of a window or in the upper corner area of the leaf and frame of a door. <IMAGE>
