PURPOSE:To easily change both an interference and an amplitude mode by setting the position of a gate signal properly while monitoring it on a waveform observation device. CONSTITUTION:A continuous wave electric signal generated by a continuous wave oscillator 200 of RF is converted by an analog switch 210 into an RF pulse electric signal, which is applied to a probe system 230 through a directional coupler 220. Then, a reflection detection signal from the probe system 230 is inputted to a receiving amplifier 240 through the coupler 220 again, and amplified and then converted by a diode detector 250 into a video signal, so that the sampling output of a desired signal is obtained by a time gate sampling circuit 260. A gate signal generating circuit 201 generates a control signal 1 for turning on and off a switch 210 and a control signal 2 as the sampling clock of the circuit 260, and a variable resistance 202 is varied to move the position of the sampling clock. |
