PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of equipment, comparing with a plunger press, and also to improve the operability by improving a pressure device of a pouring molten metal in a composite roll manufacturing device. CONSTITUTION:A composite roll manufacturing device is constituted of a cylindrical one body metallic mold 3 and its preheating device 8 for forming and heating a composite roll, also a dummy bar 1 for holding a molten metal, a seal cover 6 being a gas pressure device for pressing the molten metal which becomes a core material of the composite roll, a pressure tank 19, a compressor 20, a seal cover 6 provided with an Ar gas blow-in nozzle 7 and a blow-out nozzle 9 for maintaining a non-oxidizing state of the joint surface to be cast-in at the time of preheating of the metallic mold 3, a sensor 21 for detecting the molten metal, and a water-cooling zone 15 for cooling a casting after solidification under pressure.
