DNA having a human lysozyme synthesizing gene, process for its preparation, cells transformed with the DNA, process for preparing the transformant, and process for preparing human lysozyme by culturing the transformant. Human lysozyme having anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, tissue-regenerating, and antineoplastic effects and being used as anti-inflammatory enzymatic agent for eye wash or the like without side effects of immunoreaction or as food antiseptic can be produced on a large scale.
