PURPOSE:To enhance effectiveness in works with simultaneous processing by two tool rests by providing No.1 and No.2 tool rests with independent movability in the direction both along the spindle axis and across it, and by furnishing, on the spindle axis, a guide bushing to fix the relative position with No.1 tool rest. CONSTITUTION:No.1 moving table 30 is slided by a servo motor 31 on No.1 guide rail 28 while No.2 moving table 32 by another servo motor 33 on No.2 rail 29. A guide bushing 24 is fixed on the first named moving table 30 at its point mating with the spindle 23 so as to support a bar 27 by its center rotatably. No.1 tool rest 36 on No.3 rail 34 is slided by a servo motor 37 right across the spindle, while No.2 tool rest 41 on No.4 rail 39 is slided by a servo motor 42. Because No.1 and No.2 tool rests 36, 41 move independently either along the axis or in the direction right across it, tools 38, 43 fitted on the tool rests 36, 41 can make machining at the same time, which assures quick turning operation to lead to enhancement of effectiveness. |
