<p>A control device is arranged between a water tank (4) partially filled with distilled water with 5% by volume of methyl alcohol and a burner (11). Said device is divided into two chambers (5, 8) of which one (8) is filled with a buffer liquid (7); in the partition wall separating the two chambers (5, 8) there is provided a narrow bore-hole (6). A tube (20) open at both ends connects the air space of the water tank (4) with the empty chamber (5), whereas the chamber (8) containing the buffer liquid (7) is connected to the burner (11) via a line (9). The pressure surges due to the burner and resulting from the ignition or operation changes are absorbed by the dumping effect of the control device, so that the liquid buffer (7) does not get into the water tank (4).</p> |
