Bumper holder

To support a bumper on load-bearing parts of vehicle bodies in the form of vehicle frame side members, a bumper holder is provided in each case which comprises a U-shaped holding part, with one leg fastened to the bumper and the other leg fastened to the vehicle frame side member, and a spring element which is arranged between the two legs. To ensure that the latter has sufficient energy absorption capacity, an elastic rubber material is used and the spring element is used and/or constructed in such a way that when it is loaded in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, compressive stress on which shear stress is superimposed is produced, the vertex region which connects the two legs of the holding part executing a rolling off movement.
