PURPOSE:To enable decreasing of production of noxious exhaust gas, by a method wherein a control valve is opened according to the opening of a throttle, and the control valve is gradually closed after the throttle valve is closed. CONSTITUTION:A control valve 4 is located in an air passage 5 bypassing between the upper stream side and the downstream side of a throttle valve 6, and by means of a signal from a control unit 1, the flow rate of air flowing through the air passage 5. A signal from a throttle opening sensor 3 is inputted to the control unit, and the control valve is opened in response to the opening of the throttle valve. When the throttle valve is closed, the control valve is gradually closed. This enables the generation of noxious exhaust gas.
