In order to obtain a structural element which is particularly advantageous in building and civil engineering, can be used for any desired purposes, has ideal physical properties in construction terms and permits a rapid erection of structures with low construction costs, the said element comprises at least one gas-concrete part (6, 6') and an insulating layer (3), which two parts are solidly connected to each other by a cement-based adhesive layer (4), in which a tough and flexible, metal-free woven reinforcing fabric (5) is embedded. The woven reinforcing fabric (5) is formed by crossing threads and open meshes. The threads of the woven reinforcing fabric may consist of glass fibres, ceramic fibres or carbon fibres.
