The invention relates to an arrangement for tightly hauling in and clamping lines, in particular falls, on boats, in particular sailing boats, comprising several coaxially arranged rope sheaves (4), on the peripheral surface of which a clamping groove (4a) is formed in each case into which the respective line (10) can be put, a guide device (8; 12), allocated to the respective rope sheave (4), for the respective line (10), with which this line (10) can be inserted with a certain angle of contact into the clamping groove (4a) of the rope sheave (4), a drive change-speed mechanism (5) to which the rope sheaves (4) can be coupled individually or in groups for rotation in a drive direction, and a brake device with which the rope sheaves (4) can be locked individually or in groups against the drive direction. The arrangement according to the invention replaces the conventional stopper sets and associated winches and performs the functions of these known devices in one piece of equipment. <IMAGE>
